Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in High Point, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Supervisor II to lead a Quality Assurance team, partner with Operations to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing and the highest product quality.

You will drive performance through coaching, structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why, A3, Six Sigma), and cross functional collaboration; monitor First Time Through, Defects Per Unit and audit metrics; ensure compliance with FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, APQP/PPAP; and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Business, or related field.
• Six or more years leading teams in manufacturing or quality in lieu of a degree.
• Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, A3, Six Sigma).
• Knowledge of quality systems such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, PPAP.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven improvement skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Assurance professionals in manufacturing.
• Partner with Operations to ensure products are built to highest standards.
• Drive rapid containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Monitor metrics like First Time Through and Defects Per Unit.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration for quality improvements.
