Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a experienced Project Manager to plan, organize, and oversee multiple component projects in the machine shop. You will ensure timely, on-budget delivery to meet customer needs, manage resources, and coordinate across trades.

You will develop plans, define the remaining scope, set milestones, identify long lead items, and drive resolutions to potential delays. You will lead teams, monitor risks, and provide weekly project status updates to management.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience in project management.
• Willing to work all shifts and overtime.
• Experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Candidates with a degree in Mechanical Design or related field are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee multiple component projects in the machine shop.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time to customer needs.
• Develop project plans and define scope with milestones and lead items.
• Monitor progress and report weekly status to stakeholders.
• Lead project teams and manage budgets and vendor quotes to milestones.
