Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead facilities projects at the Groton shipyard. The role includes developing scope of work, preparing bid documents, vendor selection, securing funding, and managing field activities to keep budgets and schedules on track.

You will work with city officials and Naval oversight, applying expertise in electrical distribution up to 35 kV. Strong communication and independent problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of post graduate experience in electrical engineering.
• PE license (preferred) and facilities/plant construction experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope of work, bid documents, vendor selection and funding coordination.
• In-field project management maintaining budget, schedule and documentation.
• Interface with local city officials and Naval oversight during projects.
• Proficient with MS Office and Microsoft Project for planning and reporting.
