Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the production process by planning, scheduling, and overseeing new or revised manufacturing methods for parts and assemblies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, exposure to welding, fabrication and machining, and a solid understanding of safety and regulatory compliance. DoD Secret Clearance is desired. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining.
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts; safety and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain production methods and processes.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing and engineering problems.
• Design production operation sequences and equipment adjustments.
• Collaborate with design engineering on specifications.
• Maintain records and provide manufacturing coordination.
• Support supplier audits and manage kickoff meetings.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety practices.
• Protect confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.
