Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Lowville Plant is seeking a seasoned Engineering Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering capital projects on time and within budget. You will develop project scopes, justify investments, and coordinate with factories to implement KHMS standards.

The role requires a B.S. in Engineering, 5–10 years of engineering or leadership experience, strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to read complex PM data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of engineering or leadership experience.
• Ability to direct/lead/manage cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing KPIs and financials.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, packaging, electronics, and PLC basics.
• Dairy processing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret technical and business documents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are completed on time within budget or with successful attainment of objectives.
• Complete design phases or aspects including technical studies, product design, specs and testing.
• Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving design/test problems.
• Control expenditures within budget.
• Prepare interim and completion project reports.
• Provide technical support to factories to minimize production and maintenance problems.
• Apply engineering expertise to equipment design, problem solving, and quality improvement.
• Participate in committees or task forces contributing to company goals.
• Support key projects as technical advisor or project manager.
• Use KHMS principles to meet customer requirements and ensure right-first-time delivery.
• Promote KHMS through actions to provide quality products and reduce cost of quality.
• Develop project scope, justification, and factory/company impact.
• Prepare cost estimates, savings and timing plans.
• Develop and manage cost controls, asset controls and scheduling controls.
• Supervise contractors in project scope.
• Maintain adequate project documentation.
• Analyze and implement approved projects per Engineering/Management.
• Cost Reduction/Production Improvement; initiate cost-cutting/quality improvements.
• Prepare five-year capital budget projections and manage current year budget.
• Possess strong human relations skills to interact with diverse teams.
• Compile capital budgeting data and future project requirements for a five-year budget.
