Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical America is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead CAPEX and process-improvement initiatives in our Covington, GA facility. You will own project scope, schedule, budget, and risk, driving on-time, on-budget delivery from concept through startup and handover.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing engineering and strong Lean/Six Sigma capability, plus hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. PMP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering and project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital (CAPEX) projects from justification through commissioning.
• Demonstrated Lean / Six Sigma problem-solving and standard work development.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital, engineering, and process improvement projects from initiation through closeout, owning scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Develop integrated project plans, Gantt schedules, milestones, and critical-path tracking across multiple concurrent projects.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project specs and NFPA/OSHA codes.
• Establish governance including charters, RACI, stage-gate reviews, and status reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources across engineering, maintenance, production, quality, procurement, and contractors.
