Job summary

Fivos Group in Covington, GA seeks a Project Engineer to lead capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating with plant leadership, maintenance, reliability, production, and external vendors.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree with 3–7+ years CAPEX experience, strong communication, and a practical knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • 3–7+ years of experience managing CAPEX or facility/production equipment projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning and process improvement
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and compliance
  • Excellent communication, planning and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple CAPEX projects from scope through installation and startup
  • Develop project charters, budgets, timelines, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, maintenance, engineering, safety) and external contractors/vendors
  • Oversee equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, automation, and process optimization
  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate project reporting, cost tracking, and milestone updates

We're seeking a Project Engineer who can lead and execute capital projects across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong mechanical or electrical expertise - and meaningful secondary experience in the other discipline - who can manage projects from concept through commissioning. You'll work closely with plant leadership, maintenance, reliability, production, and external vendors to deliver projects that improve throughput, safety, automation, and overall facility performance.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple CAPEX projects simultaneously, from scope development through installation and startup.
  • Develop project charters, budgets, timelines, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, maintenance, engineering, safety) and external contractors/vendors.
  • Oversee equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and documentation skills.
