Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Manufacturing Operations and Industrial Engineering Program Manager to own factory layout and material flow design across AWS rack fulfillment sites. You’ll work at the intersection of capacity planning, automation engineering, construction, and operations to scale infrastructure across a global site network.

Strong leadership, data-driven design, and technical depth are essential as you establish manufacturing standards and publish process control guidelines

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and influencing skills are essential.
• Technical depth in manufacturing infrastructure is expected.
• Experience with capacity planning and automation engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate rack fulfillment capacity plans into data-driven facility layouts for AWS manufacturing operations, designing end-to-end material flow from dock receipt through assembly, integration, test, and dispatch across EC2, Machine Learning, and Storage product platforms.
• Design factory floor layouts including automation line stations, manual assembly zones, test positions, sub-assembly areas, burn-in, and repair workflows — determining optimal buffer sizing, automation vs. manual line trade-offs, and material handling system specifications (AMR/AGV routes, conveyors, AS).
