Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Owatonna, MN seeks a Manufacturing Programming Technician I. This role contributes to building high-quality products and improving CAM/software processes.

You will work with engineering to optimize material sizing, tooling, and CAD changes, supporting cost reductions and accelerated scheduling. Entry-level experience is acceptable, with growth opportunities in a global HVAC leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 0 to 2 years of Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the efficient usage of programmed materials.
• Provide basic support to efficiently build quality products and meet market demands.
• Study and recommend techniques to improve existing CAM and internal software products.
• Analyze and determine the most effective material size for production and recommends alternative materials to engineering when appropriate.
• Select and recommend tooling purchases for new equipment in conjunction with engineering and assists to coordinate the purchase of tooling with the tooling department.
• Create and adjust CAD files and collaborates with engineering regarding design enhancements for cost improvements.
• Troubleshoots basic machine programming issues.
• Assist in product development and cost reduction.
• Participate in special project teams, working outside the scope of normal process to facilitate an accelerated schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $23.66 to $36.59 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
