Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks aMaintenance Technician to keep site machinery in top condition at our Owatonna, MN facility. You will diagnose issues, dismantle and repair equipment, and fabricate replacement parts as needed to ensure smooth operations.

With a focus on preventive maintenance and safe work practices, you will work with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs, collaborating with operators and contractors, and supporting emergency response when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Must obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components.
• Works with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and related equipment for diagnostics.
• Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical problems of equipment and facilities.
• Maintains records of repairs and work orders.

Location:Owatonna, MN

Shift: 5pm-5am Wed-Fri

What you will do:

• Performs preventive maintenance onequipment
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components orequipment
• Performs work involving programmable logic controllers (PLC's), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), Human Interface Modules (HMI's), etc.
• May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and todeterminerootcause
• Tests faulty equipment, performs basic electrical troubleshooting, and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of themalfunction
• Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives asneeded
• Submits purchase order requisitions forparts
• Maintains records of repairs and work orderscompleted
• Moves and sets up workstations/offices
• Troubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, andplumbing
• Participates as part of the emergency response team.
• Mayassistoutside emergency responseteams
• May provide work training to less experienced maintenancestaff
• Observes and complies with Company safety procedures at alltimes

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from 31.73 - 52.29 in Minnesota. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the jobgradewhich this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
