Job summary

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 3+ years of electronics contract manufacturing experience.
  • Experience as a program manager in aerospace/defense environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Customer Focus Team meetings and maintain notes/action items.
  • Close action items with internal teams and customer support.
  • Lead weekly/monthly customer meetings with frequency per customer.
  • Manage sales order process related to customer change requirements.
  • Drive customer satisfaction while achieving client financial goals.
  • Communicate metrics (inventory turns, quality, delivery, PPV, E&O) to customer.
  • Explain NCNR parts with customer sign-off and escalate if no response.
  • Initiate quotes/re-pricing with AM and schedule kick-offs with SCSM.
  • Support EOL agreements and contract reviews with AM.
  • Ensure profitability and compare project costs to quotations.
  • Develop and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Escalate issues to close items timely and mitigate risks.
  • Implement ECO/ECN and present cost impact to customer.
  • Coordinate with Operations for timely production schedules.

The Manufacturing Program Manager acts as the primary voice of the customer, leading Customer Focus Teams to drive project success and operational profitability. They manage complex responsibilities including sales order changes, engineering updates, supply chain financial risks, and account growth.

The Manufacturing Program Manager is accountable for the operational performance to the customer and the achievement of our client's internal financial performance of the customer. The Manufacturing Program Manager works directly with Account Management (AM) and the site General Manager (GM) to drive business growth organically and/or with Business Development (BDM) to launch new customers. Ensures the timely and successful delivery of products, services, and solutions according to customer needs and objectives aligned with internal goals. Prepares and shares account metrics with the AM, GM, or BDM to drive improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead Customer Focus Team meetings and maintain notes/action items shared internally and with the customer.
  • Follow up internally to close action items with appropriate team members and work closely with the customer to ensure the customer’s action items are closed and support where needed
  • Leads weekly/monthly meetings with customers (frequency depends on customer)
  • Assumes responsibility for the sales order process as it relates to customer change requirements.
  • Drives customer satisfaction while ensuring our client's best interests/goals/financials are achieved
  • Manages internal communication of metrics (inventory turns, quality, delivery (OTD), tariffs/duty recovery, PPV’s, E&O, etc.) as well as metrics with the customer (monthly or quarterly depending on the customer)
  • Communicates NCNR parts to customers and has the customer sign off. Provides the date, and if no signature, escalates to the Account Manager if there is no response from the customer. Do not place parts order if signature is not received
  • Pricing – Initiates CFT quotes or reprices with AM as needed and schedules kick-off (low MVA, PPV, etc.) with Supply Chain Solutions Management (SCSM)
  • MSA – knows Terms and conditions and requests Account Management(AM) for help w/ end of life EOL agreements; Contract Review
  • Maintains profitability per our client's objectives and reviews project costs vs. quotations to ensure margins are being met
  • Develops and cultivates new business opportunities.
  • Escalates when issues cannot be resolved so open items are closed in a timely manner. Limit customer and internal risks.
  • ECO/ECN implementation and presents cost impact to the customer with recovery PO
  • Works closely with Operations to ensure timely implementation of production schedules.
  • Interfaces with key managers to achieve escalation of projects as required for completion
  • Supports and follows all ISO standards related to our client's various Quality Management Systems, and all corporate and site 5S objectives.
  • Presents excess & obsolete (E&O) to customer on a monthly basis and drives resolution; works with AM for resolution.
  • Coordinates the program Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Mitigation Plan.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CEPM Certification or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3 + years of experience in:

Electronics contract manufacturing preferred

Program Manager in an aerospace and defense environment

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills
  • Detail- and solution-oriented
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and provide proactive responses
  • Must be a team player and highly motivated
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company
  • Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and/or customers with direction and oversight
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as well as multitask with more than 1 customer
  • Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
  • Available for travel up to 25% of the time, including day, overnight, and international, as required
  • Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
  • Project management skills managing multiple projects at once
  • Good presentation skills (Teams and PowerPoint)
  • Must possess an Intermediate or greater Excel skill level in order to manage and publish financial aspects of the program
