Job summary

ALCOM LLC in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee daily trailer production, ensure schedules and quality standards, and enforce safety procedures at our Sioux Falls facility. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or production supervision experience, preferably in trailer or metal fabrication.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to coach and mentor employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate production team to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
• Oversee daily trailer manufacturing operations to ensure standards.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor product quality and enforce specifications and customer requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment by following policies and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issues.
• Implement and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records of production performance, labor hours, and materials usage.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and assist in employee development.
• Address employee concerns, foster teamwork, uphold company values.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will oversee daily trailer production operations at Alcom’s Sioux Falls facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety procedures are followed. The Supervisor will lead and support production team members, coordinate with other departments, and drive continuous improvement to meet company goals.

Desired Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or production supervision experience, preferably in trailer or metal fabrication industries.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and mentor employees.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and production management systems.
