Job summary

Hitachi Astemo is seeking a Production Supervisor in Muncie, IN to direct and coordinate production activities and ensure quality and on-time output.

The role requires at least 4 years in manufacturing, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Office. Overtime and occasional domestic travel up to 20% are expected.

You will coach staff, implement safety policies, and drive continuous improvement within a collaborative, diverse team in a global company.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed

Responsibilities

• Ensure production quality to meet specifications.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities.
• Reviews production reports and resolves operational problems.
• Conducts coach / counseling sessions to resolve personnel issues.
• Ensures training/rotations are established, and all safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Review production orders and / or schedules production data.
• Enter time sheets of subordinates and PTO.
• Perform associate evaluations in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform essential and subordinate duties and responsibilities, track scrap cost, and present preventive ideas to management.
• Other duties as assigned.
