Job summary

AFL is seeking a Production Scheduler I to partner with customer service, sales, manufacturing and supply chain. You will determine shipment dates for new orders, generate accurate production schedules and adjust plans to meet commitments.

The role emphasizes coordinating capacity, monitoring daily shop-floor performance, and communicating schedule changes to minimize customer impact while ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience in production scheduling and planning in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to analyze data and generate schedules from large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders.
• Coordinate with customer service, sales, and manufacturing to align capacity.
• Monitor shop floor performance and adjust schedules to minimize delays.
• Maintain finished goods inventory replenishment and thresholds.
• Use scheduling software and Excel to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
• Communicate schedule changes and recovery plans with teams.
