FreshDirect in New York, NY seeks a warehouse material flow specialist to verify and move production materials. You will audit WMS/SAP movements, manage material requests, and assist SAP production orders while ensuring accurate quantities and timely deliveries.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1–2 years of computer use, the ability to lift 40 lbs, and availability for 5 early-morning days per week, including weekends and holidays. Food-safety compliance is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and report actual and planned movement of raw materials and packaging.
• Audit production material movements in WMS/SAP.
• Verify packaging and raw material needs; manage substitutes.
• Support SAP production orders and distribution to work centers.
• Confirm production material quantities with inventory control.
• Coordinate and follow up on missing or late components between warehouse and production.
• Put away materials up to 40 lbs in proper locations within PSA/storage areas.
• Adhere to warehousing, receiving, storage, label-dating and FIFO processes.
• Provide ongoing support to processes in manufacturing departments.

• This position will be responsible for SAP & WMS systemic verification and physical movement of production raw materials, packaging components, semi-finished and finished goods to support manufacturing operations. Also, proper Warehouse functions for departmental receiving, put-away, storage, label/dating and FIFO procedures relating to those materials.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, run and report actual and planned order movement for raw materials, semi-finished goods and packaging components as related to production
• Auditing of production material movement entries in WMS/SAP
• Verify and request packaging, raw and SFG material needs or approved substitutes
• Support SAP printed production orders and distribution to production work centers when needed
• Verify and confirm production material quantities with inventory control
• Follow up on missing, cancelled or late raw, SFG and packaging components between warehouse and production locations
• Put away all materials (up to 40lbs) into proper identified locations with-in production department PSA/storage areas
• Follow all required warehousing and receiving, storage, label-dating and FIFO functions
• Provide on-going support to all activities with-in the scope of related processes in MFG departments

Qualifications And Skills

• High School diploma and/or equivalent and demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous work experience and education
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Solid communication skills, both oral and written, with peers and supervisors
• Minimum 1-2 years' computer experience - Microsoft Office, E-mail & any production systems software
• Must be able to follow directions and take initiative
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines as per company policies and procedures to be in compliance with
• Food Safety, Sanitation, Safety Compliance and Fresh Direct quality policies
• Able to lift 40 pounds consistently through out the shift
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Requires 5 days per week in an early morning shift
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Able to present data in a concise, logical and useful manner
• Able to multitask, problem solve and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous Food Warehousing, ERP, SAP or WMS systems experience a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Note: The salary for this role is $ 20 an hour. Specific compensation for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.
