Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a production planner to focus on scheduling and coordinating manufacturing activities in Buford, GA. The role involves maintaining master data, rescheduling shop orders, and ensuring on-time delivery from the shop floor.

Responsibilities include daily monitoring of orders, capacity planning for the next four months, and close collaboration with Purchasing and Production Supervisors.

Qualifications

• MS Excel proficiency and strong understanding of production processes.
• Experience with ERP systems used for manufacturing.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor production within defined windows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IFS Basic Data settings: time fences, MO cover time, queue time, max hours per operation, safety time for inventory parts.
• Create and reschedule shop orders.
• Create production schedules based on Master Schedule and customer demand.
• Daily monitoring of shop order execution.
• Obtain factory plan approvals with Production Supervisors.
• Perform material reservation to shop orders.
• Monitor Negatives On Hand and adjust shop orders with Purchasing.
• Monitor capacity for next 4 months and inform Production Supervisors.
• Verify and approve extra order capacity.
• Perform short-term production leveling within planning scope.
• Demonstrate experience working with ERP systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of MS Excel and production processes.

SHORT DESCRIPTION (2): Focuses on production planning and preparing production schedules for manufacturing of products.

QUALIFICATIONS (2): High School or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

1. 1. maintain quality of IFS Basic Data such as: Time fences setting in Master Schedule level1, Manufacturing order cover time, Queue time on work center, Max hours per operation on work center, Safety time for F and SF inventory parts)
2. 2. create and reschedule shop orders
3. 3. create production schedule basing on customers demand defined in Master Schedule
4. 4. daily monitoring of execution of shop orders
5. 5. factory plan approval together with Production Supervisors
6. 6. material reservation to shop orders
7. 7. daily monitoring (together with Purchasing) of Negatives On Hand for defined number of days window and adjust created shop orders
8. 8. capacity monitoring (for next 4 months) to deliver the information on capacity needs to Production Supervisors
9. 9. extra ordercapacity verification and approval
10. 10. production leveling in short term period (defined locally as under Production Planning responsibility)
