Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to coordinate scheduling and material flow on the manufacturing floor. You will partner with production supervisors, technicians, quality, supply chain, and engineering to keep hardware moving on three 12-hour shifts (Fri-Sun) and drive on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes urgency, problem solving, and cross-functional communication to resolve issues impacting schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in production planning, production control, manufacturing operations, supply chain or industrial engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and production reporting tools.
• Comfortable working directly on the production floor.
• Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent people skills and adaptability to change, with presentation skills for upper management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Track critical engine assemblies and components through the manufacturing process.
• Monitor daily production priorities and ensure work orders progress per schedule.
• Identify and address issues that may delay production (material shortages, quality holds, tooling constraints, documentation, engineering questions).
• Lead daily production review meetings and communicate schedule priorities.
• Identify schedule risks and bottlenecks before they impact delivery commitments.
• Escalate critical issues and drive cross-functional resolution with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Track KPIs including schedule attainment, on-time completion, WIP inventory, and throughput.
• Ensure production priorities are clearly communicated to supervisors and personnel.
• Coordinate recovery plans when production falls behind schedule.
• Analyze production data to improve forecasting accuracy and schedule reliability.
• Support implementation of production planning and ERP/MRP processes.
• Maintain MES/ERP alignment by ensuring work orders are issued for all demand and validating data integrity.
