Job Description
The Product Builder III is a senior‑level manufacturing team member responsible for assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting in‑process devices, maintaining quality standards, and supporting daily production execution. This individual serves as a technical resource and floor support lead, helping coordinate production priorities, monitor workflow, reinforce quality compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires advanced manufacturing knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 4‑6 years of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience
- 1‑2 years of leadership, team lead, or floor support experience
- Advanced knowledge of product assembly and manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of quality systems, documentation practices, and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and follow Manufacturing Procedures (MPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
- Proficiency using measuring instruments, inspection tools, and basic computer systems
- Experience with material handling, documentation, and inventory control
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting production teams through training, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with supervisors and cross‑functional teams
- Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime as required
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to use microscopes, hand tools, and required PPE for extended periods
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Proven ability to lead through technical expertise and influence without direct authority
Key Responsibilities
- Build quality into all aspects of work while maintaining compliance with company quality standards and requirements.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, work instructions (WI's), manufacturing procedures (MP's), and documentation requirements.
- Perform complex assembly, inspection, material handling, and documentation activities within assigned production areas.
- Inspect in-process products and assemblies to ensure quality and specification compliance.
- Demonstrate initiative and accountability in completing production objectives.
- Complete and maintain all required training records and certifications.
- Utilize measuring instruments and inspection tools with a high degree of accuracy.
- Use computer systems to perform production transactions, issue materials, verify inventory, and print labels.
- Understand and apply Core 5 Metrics to support daily production goals and performance objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and team projects focused on quality and efficiency improvements.
- Support daily production operations by monitoring attendance, staffing levels, production schedules, and workload priorities.
- Communicate staffing shortages, production risks, quality concerns, or delivery challenges to supervisors.
- Serve as a designated floor support resource, helping coordinate communication between production personnel and leadership.
- Monitor production flow and maintain hourly performance tracking to ensure productivity goals are achieved.
- Reinforce adherence to quality systems, documentation standards, and approved manufacturing procedures.
- Escalate safety, quality, compliance, or production concerns as appropriate.
- Provide technical guidance and training support to team members as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve manufacturing performance.
