Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Engineering Support Specialist I for our Process Engineering team in West Lafayette, IN. The role involves basic testing, services, and troubleshooting of SEL products per defined procedures under supervision.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, develop proficiency in supported disciplines, and contribute to continuous improvement. Travel for training is required during the first months.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of familiarity with Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Proficient with Windows and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for training (8–12 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products following defined procedures under supervision.
• Provide status updates to SEL staff and customers and communicate opportunities for improvement.
• Follow department processes and contribute to documentation/work instructions.
• Collaborate with team on improvement efforts and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
• Learn activities to support disciplines within Operation Team or R&D disciplines.
