Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist I to join our Process Engineering team in West Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on basic testing, service, and troubleshooting of SEL products and processes under supervision, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Located in West Lafayette, IN, the position requires travel during training and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years familiarity with Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Able to operate Windows and MS Office.
• Strong written, verbal, and documentation skills.
• Interested in learning new technologies and assuming new responsibilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Enjoy working on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide status updates to SEL staff and customers.
• Communicate effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
• Follow department processes while suggesting improvements to documentation or work instructions.
• Represent the team in collaborative improvement efforts.
• Develop basic proficiency in activities to support one of the Operation Team's disciplines.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
