Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist I for our Process Engineering team in Manufacturing Operations in West Lafayette, Indiana. You will perform basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products under supervision, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and operators to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years familiarity with Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Able to operate Windows and MS Office tools.
• Strong written, verbal, and documentation skills.
• Willing to learn new technologies and assume new responsibilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with SEL products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide status updates to SEL staff and customers.
• Communicate effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
• Follow department processes and suggest improvements to docs or work instructions.
• Represent the team in collaborative improvement efforts.
• Develop basic proficiency in support activities for one of the Operation or R&D disciplines.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
