Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. seeks a Process Engineer Co-op for the Green Bay Mill Division in Green Bay, Wisconsin. You will work with Production Superintendents, Quality Manager, and process engineers on projects to improve process efficiency and productivity.

Projects include process improvement, chemical trials, equipment start-up, and statistical analysis of product properties, with opportunities to support Continuous Improvement initiatives and engage with customers on trials or quality issues.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university and working toward a Chemical Engineering or Paper Science degree.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process improvement, cost reduction, and optimization opportunities.
• Chemical trials designed to increase quality and productivity.
• Equipment start-up and optimization.
• Statistical analysis of the finished product properties.
• Involvement with customers regarding special trials or quality issues.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility by partnering with subject matter experts to identify and implement process improvements.
