Job summary

Celestica in Plano, Texas seeks a Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process to design, develop and deploy manufacturing processes for customer products. You will develop tooling and software for complex machines, and lead capability assessments using Statistical methods to maximize throughput and minimize cost.

Responsibilities include solving complex process issues and providing feedback to designers on manufacturability while collaborating across teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes to support customer products.
• Develop application software and tooling for machines and mechanical process steps in manufacturing.
• Lead assessment of machine and process capability using Design of Experiments and statistics to optimize resources, throughput and cost.
• Lead problem solving for complex single or multi-stage product/process issues affecting manufacturing.
• Provide feedback to product designers on manufacturability of designs.
