Job summary
ABB in New Berlin, WI seeks a seasoned engineer to lead process improvements across Safety, Delivery, Internal Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, and Automation for the Motion - System Drives Production Lines. You will coordinate multi-project efforts, ensure quality compliance, and drive kaizen initiatives to meet customer demand.
Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial/manufacturing/quality engineering, a BS in a related field, and hands-on CAD/SAP experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or related Engineering/Science.
- 8+ years of experience working in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.
- Basic understanding of CAD Software (Autodesk/AutoCAD preferred).
- Working knowledge of ERP software, preferably SAP.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical lead and coordination of process improvements for US – Motion - System Drives Production Lines in Safety, Delivery, Internal Logistics, Lean Manufacturing, Change Management, Automation and Quality.
- Drive capacity improvements by identifying and executing kaizens to meet customer demand and drive cost savings.
- Plan and execute multiple projects via change management, manage risks, and ensure changes are completed successfully.
- Spearhead automation improvements including robotics, vision systems, AGVs, and poke-yoke controls, with contractor management and project tasks.
