Job summary

NTN Bearing of America is seeking an engineer to provide manufacturing support and drive continuous improvement of machinery and processes at the Macomb, Illinois facility.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, with strong skills in process improvement, project coordination, and problem solving to reduce costs and improve safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; or Engineering Technology with 0–2 years manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work with probability, statistics, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle multiple variables with limited standardization.
• Ability to interact with and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop improvements to existing processes across departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance).
• Develop capital project objectives, write specifications, layouts, quotations, and proposals.
• Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
• Write standard work instructions using templates for setup, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and lockout/tagout.
• Develop/recommend quick changeover methods and tooling.
• Analyze methods to reduce direct, indirect, and setup labor.
• Support safety and quality programs and productivity goals.
