Job summary

CTB, Inc. in Milford, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, manage, and optimize manufacturing processes and layouts. You will lead continuous improvement efforts, collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance, and drive efficient production while meeting budget and timelines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing projects, with strong planning, problem solving, and Lean/Safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred; combination of coursework and experience considered.
• 5+ years of implementing engineering and manufacturing projects/processes.
• Strong detail orientation with planning, prioritizing, and organizing; proactive decision making.
• Solid understanding of ISO/Quality Systems, Safety, Lean Thinking and 5S.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems; CAD experience; familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, coordinate, and perform optimization of manufacturing processes and layouts within budget and timelines.
• Develop process instructions with the Engineering team ensuring equipment and tooling standards.
• Provide second-tier training for employees on new work instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment/tooling with Maintenance and Product Managers to maximize output within downtime constraints.
• Review machine operation and plant layout with Maintenance, Tool/Die and Engineering to optimize areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize continuous improvement projects and new product development processes.
• Research items for capital equipment purchases to meet area goals.
