Job summary

Teijin Automotive Technologies Indiana is seeking a skilled engineer to define and optimize production processes, develop documentation and training, and support safety and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and alignment with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 5+ years of related manufacturing experience, with hands-on capability in process control and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Define production process parameters to meet customer specifications.
• Implement production processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Create documentation for production support and data collection.
• Create and update process Control Plans and FMEA.
• Develop training programs and materials for production Team Leaders, Technicians, and Operators.
• Coordinate safety efforts with the Safety Administrator.
• Select vendors for equipment and production materials.
• Develop and issue criteria to vendors for supplied items.
• Determine stock items and quantities for equipment spare parts and production materials.
• Define preventative maintenance items and schedules for equipment.
• Initiate work orders for equipment issues.
• Participate in planning personnel safety and protection activities per OSHA/IOSHA and other standards.
• Stay updated on materials relevant to the company’s needs through trade publications, papers, seminars, and classes.
• Establish area goals to support production and strategic initiatives.
• Develop, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, production, and quality.
• Support TS16949 and ISO14001 initiatives.
• Develop or revise standard operating and working practices, observing workers to ensure compliance with standards.
