Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer at its Dyeing & Finishing Plant in Cleveland, TN, reporting to the Process Improvement Manager. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to develop and implement manufacturing process improvements that enhance performance, quality, and cost.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 1–2 years of manufacturing process-improvement experience, with proficiency in Lean, SPC, and root-cause analysis,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing process-improvement experience.
  • Experience with cell manufacturing equipment, surface finishing, and process controls is desired.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing problems.
  • Apply engineering principles to support equipment and control systems.
  • Develop and document processes and procedures to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
  • Oversee equipment installation/upgrade projects to support manufacturing areas.
  • Monitor process controls and communicate findings to management.
  • Understand and track manufacturing financial measures and cost improvements.
  • Perform other duties as required and directed.
