Job summary

Mountville Mills, Inc. is seeking a process engineer to drive improvements across our rubber/matting manufacturing operations. You will own the technical performance from raw materials to finished goods and work to raise throughput and quality.

You will analyze processes, lead root-cause investigations, design new equipment, and develop standard work and SOPs, partnering with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time, and quality
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related defects and downtime
  • Design, specify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and process changes
  • Develop and maintain process documentation: work instructions, standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams
  • Partner with Quality to ensure processes meet specification and regulatory requirements
  • Support new product introduction - scale lab/pilot processes to full production
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Ensure all process changes comply with safety standards and do not compromise worker safety
