Job summary

Polyventive is seeking an experienced chemical engineer to lead continuous improvement across Northwest Georgia plants. You will drive safety, efficiency, and capital projects while scaling new products from development to full-scale batch operations.

The role requires 5+ years in chemical plant operations, hands-on batch processing, and a strong foundation in process engineering, DFMs, and polymer chemistry. Expect collaboration with EH&S and operations leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with chemical manufacturing background.
• 5+ years in chemical plant operations with hands-on batch processing experience.
• Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong quantitative and computer aptitude.
• Working knowledge of polymer chemistry.
• Fluency in OSHA, HAZMAT, and EPA requirements.

• Scale with confidence: transition new products from development to full-scale batch operations.
• Communicate with impact: produce SOPs, technical reports, and presentations for operators through executives.
• Drive alignment: partner with Commercial, R&D, Purchasing, and Transportation on cost-out initiatives.

Your mission

• Own the numbers: manage controllable spend and capital to plan.
• Lead by example: participate in and occasionally lead Incident Reporting, GEMBA walks, and 5S.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with chemical manufacturing background.

• Proven record in process/equipment design, scale-up, and capital project leadership tied to productivity outcomes.
• Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
