Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Manufacturing Support Engineer for our Anderson, SC operations. You will provide technical and operational support to production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to keep processes safe, efficient, and reliable.

You will drive process improvements, support NPI, and assist with production planning, equipment improvements, quality initiatives, and cost reductions while ensuring safety and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Knowledge of automation and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, optimize resource use, and coordinate with departments to align plans.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and optimization of equipment to meet production demands.
• Establish quality control measures, conduct inspections, and resolve quality issues.
• Analyze costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate on NPI to ensure manufacturability and DFA/DFM input.
• Maintain accurate process documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Provide training to production personnel on new processes and equipment.
• Investigate and resolve production issues; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure EHS compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align processes with business goals.
• Lead or participate in manufacturing-related projects with budget management.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Manage supplier relationships for timely materials and quality.
