Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Anderson, SC, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and assist with process analysis, SOPs, and CAD updates.

You will collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity, while applying Lean methods and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in manufacturing, production, maintenance, quality, or related field.
• Ability to learn and apply manufacturing engineering concepts, processes, and tools.
• Ability to read and write technical documentation including SOPs and process docs.
• Basic CAD experience or ability to learn engineering drawings and models.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze basic manufacturing data.
• Effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support production areas with tooling, fixtures, and communication of engineering changes.
• Assist with implementing and sustaining manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to DFM initiatives and production readiness.
• Assist with equipment specifications, tool improvements, and project work.
• Support documentation, standard work, SOPs, and process control.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality issues and participate in corrective actions.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Support safety initiatives and compliance with standards.
