Job summary

Ilocatum seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for its Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility to directly tackle hands-on manufacturing problems and drive continuous improvement. You will work closely with Production, CI, Maintenance, and Engineering to elevate day-to-day performance on the shop floor.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing engineering within an assembly environment (ideally wood products) and strong communication skills to engage all levels of staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and, on a team
• Prior project management experience is highly desirable
• Prior capital project experience is also helpful
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance.
• Apply strong process improvement skills to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and collaborate with operators and leaders.
• Serve as escalation resource for deeper process analysis and technical problems.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity and delivery in assigned areas.
