Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a hands-on role at our state-of-the-art production facility in Wisconsin. You will partner with Automation Engineering, Production, Continuous Improvement and Maintenance to solve day-to-day manufacturing challenges and drive practical improvements on the floor.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering and 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in assembly operations, preferably wood

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and on a team.
• Project management experience from start to finish is highly desirable.
• Capital project experience is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs across operations.
• Develop and implement practical solutions and sustain improvements.
• Maintain a strong floor presence with operators, supervision and leadership.
• Escalate complex manufacturing problems requiring deep process analysis.
• Plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics in conjunction with Production Teams.
