Job summary

Omega Point Partners in Manitowoc, WI seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to solve day-to-day manufacturing problems and drive process improvements on the wood doors production line.

You will collaborate with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering to design, validate and sustain improvements, on the manufacturing floor where cross‑functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation (wood products preferred).
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Project management experience from start to finish is highly desirable.
• Capital project experience is also helpful.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance with Production, CI, Maintenance, and Engineering.
• Use strong process-improvement skills to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators and supervisors to resolve issues.
• Serve as an escalation resource for complex process analysis.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics with Production Teams.
