Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Nashville is seeking an Engineering Support role to assist on the production floor, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and provide PE support to the Ops Team. Qualifications

• Associates degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Two years manufacturing experience preferred.
• PC skills including Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access or related software.
• Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
• Must be a team player that can work efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of process, detail and follow through.
• Strong set of problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task across problem domains and various contexts.

Responsibilities

• Create and Update assembly SOPs for CCBU.
• Assist with NPI builds and help lead activity on production floor to meet shipments.
• Assist engineering with special process improvement projects.
• Assist in the implementation of ECN’s and reworks needed for production.
• Provide Training to Operations regarding new products and processes.
• Take action in solving problems with sound judgment and situational awareness.
• Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects.
• Collect, maintain and analyze data and metrics to improve TAT and FPY.
• Assist with resolving Engineering Holds in a timely manner.
• Support Ops Team on day to day system issues.
• Assist engineering in the system maintenance and product setup.
• Provide maintenance support on engineering equipment.
