Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Berne, IN to optimize production, design efficient layouts, and drive safety and throughput improvements on the shop floor.

You will conduct time studies, create labor models, and develop CAD-based workstation layouts while implementing kanban systems and operator instructions. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s).
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or basic coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.
• Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
• Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.
• Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.
