Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Reno, NV is seeking a Process Engineer (New College Grad) to kick off a hands-on engineering career in a fast-paced data center manufacturing environment. You will support production operations, participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, and drive continuous improvement with Lean and 5S.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or full-time employment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations by assisting with development, implementation, and continuous improvement of production processes.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including documentation review, process validation, and production readiness assessments.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including: Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams, Routing Configuration, Assembly Procedures, Packaging Instructions.
• Assist with BOM validation and shop floor manufacturing system setup.
• Analyze production performance data and identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and throughput improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for manufacturing and quality issues.
• Support ECO/ECN implementation activities.
• Conduct time studies and assist with labor and capacity planning analyses.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Program Management teams to support production goals.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
• Present project updates and improvement recommendations to engineering and operations teams.
• Travel occasionally to other Hyve locations for training, project support, or business needs.
