Job summary

Kimball International is seeking a Process Engineer in Fordsville, KY to optimize manufacturing workflows and design efficient line layouts. You will analyze cycles, TAKT times, and throughput; drive improvements to achieve defect-free, on-time production while ensuring safety and ergonomic work practices across material types including wood, metal, plastic and glass.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, project management skills, and experience with lean manufacturing and line design.

Qualifications

• Review production and labor daily to optimize output.
• Assist in line and workstation design and process definitions.
• Implement productivity improvements and capacity adjustments as needed.
• Apply lean and poka-yoke concepts to manufacturing processes.
• Develop safe and ergonomic processes; ensure safe work practices.
