Kimball International is seeking a Process Engineer to study and optimize operation sequences and workflows, ensuring maximum utilization of facilities, equipment and labor to deliver on-time, defect-free products. The role provides technical leadership to link design requirements with production realities.

Formación

• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing concepts to line design.
• Ability to conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with DFA/DFM and mistake-proofing approaches.
• Understanding of cycle time, TAKT, and product throughput targets.

Responsabilidades

• Support development of appropriate cycle, TAKT and throughput targets.
• Review production and labor daily to drive improvement.
• Assist line and workstation design, including assessments to enhance productivity.
• Develop processes and work instructions with emphasis on safety and ergonomics.
• Plan fixtures and hand tools, incorporating mistake-proofing.
• Apply concepts like DFA/DFM, Lean, DFT, and Poka-Yoke to processes.
• Support setups for diverse materials (wood, metal, plastic, glass).
• Develop manufacturing process strategies to meet customer value and pricing.
