Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in Decorah, Iowa. You will develop, maintain, and improve production processes, focusing on stability, continuous improvement, and capital project support. You will collaborate across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, repeatable manufacturing.

The role requires 4–7 years of hands-on experience, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong lean manufacturing knowledge. Travel up to 15% is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving with root-cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proven track record in process capability and cycle-time analysis.
• Hands-on with production teams and equipment.
• Experience with capital projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations by monitoring process performance and addressing issues.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, flows, routings, and standard work.
• Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Implement changes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Assist with process setup, trials, and documentation for new products.
• Lead kaizen events and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for equipment installation and commissioning.
• Support process validation and acceptance testing of new or modified equipment.
