Job summary

Neogen is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Lansing, MI to partner with cross-functional teams to develop, update and manage manufacturing, quality and maintenance process documentation. The role drives CAPA, engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

The candidate will contribute to process qualification, data analysis, and LEAN Six Sigma projects, while ensuring GMP/GLP alignment and safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Relevant associate’s degree with >5 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with GLP and GMP in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in data analysis using statistical software (e.g., Minitab) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Update and generate Manufacturing, Quality and Maintenance process documentation.
• Revise SOPs to capture all process, product, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead engineering changes and CAPA for the technology platform.
• Identify and lead manufacturing improvements and cost-reduction projects.
• Collaborate with Process Support and R&D on technology transfer and development.
