Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process definition, capital projects, and implementation of lean initiatives. You will train staff, drive Kaizen events, and coach site teams to improve safety, quality, throughput and overall performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience, with proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills. Travel up to 50% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to learn production operations.
• Well organized and effective communication.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, self-starter, thrives in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage process definition, capital acquisition, and process implementation.
• Train employees as necessary and lead Kaizen events to improve process performance.
• Improve safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and repeatability of processes using lean principles.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to boost safety, quality, on-time delivery and KPIs.
• Coaching and mentoring site management on lean manufacturing implementations.
• Develop and maintain financial justifications for action items.
