Job summary
La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Neosho, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer II to plan, design, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, fixtures, and tooling. You will develop capital equipment specs and drive implementation of new methods to improve quality and reduce cost.
The role requires 2-4 years in manufacturing, CAD experience, Lean and Six Sigma knowledge, and strong analytical writing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and cost-reduction mindset.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to align with designs.
- Develop alternate processing models to test new methods.
- Design gauges, fixtures, tooling, and material handling.
- Evaluate and implement methods to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain CAD documentation for equipment and layouts.
- Lead cross-functional project teams.
