Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC designs and optimizes manufacturing facilities to improve efficiency and resource use across wire and cable production. The role analyzes facility specifications, materials, and layouts to align with operational goals, driving improvements in performance and safety.

The engineer supports production, quality, and maintenance teams, developing workflows and tooling while coordinating with suppliers for materials and components.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
2–4 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
Experience with Lean, process optimization, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Acquires knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment to support efficiency.
Suggests process modifications and improvements under supervision.
Analyzes production data to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
Applies engineering principles to design and improve workflows, tooling, and processes.
Performs testing/validation for new processes or modifications and documents results.
