Job summary

Indium Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer I to develop and implement optimized manufacturing processes, analyze data, and determine root causes to improve efficiency and product flow.

Responsibilities include supporting production teams, reviewing customer requirements, and documenting processes in accordance with quality standards, while applying SPC and Lean principles to drive cost and quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required, or an associate degree with a professional certificate.
  • Hands‑on mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • Clear, organized communication in written and oral form.
  • Electrical and/or software development knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to provide own transportation for local travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement optimized, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with specs.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and training for manufacturing processes and personnel.
  • Review customer prints and specs to ensure clarity and manufacturability.
  • Improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Author documentation including engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Apply SPC and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Contribute to project cost estimates, timelines and milestones.
