Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer I to develop and implement optimized manufacturing processes. You will analyze data and materials, identify root causes, and improve product flow while supporting ongoing operations.

The role requires a technical degree or an equivalent combination, hands-on mechanical skills, and clear communication. Electrical or software knowledge is a plus, with a standard Mon-Fri schedule and a competitive salary and benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or an Associate degree plus a professional certificate in engineering, science, or technical discipline.
Hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering concepts to develop and optimize manufacturing processes.
Implement cost-effective manufacturing methods in line with specifications and standards.
Follow structured product/process development and change control methods.
Design and test manufacturing methods and equipment; consult with vendors.
Provide hands-on technical support and training for processes and personnel.
Review customer prints and requirements to ensure manufacturability and clear documentation.
Drive process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and efficiency.
Document engineering designs, procedures, and work instructions per quality standards.
