Job summary

LiCAP Technologies, a Sacramento-based manufacturer of advanced energy-storage electrodes, seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer. You will develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and scale manufacturing processes for ADE-based products, ensuring readiness, quality, and efficiency across programs.

You will collaborate with R&D, production, quality, and maintenance to transfer new processes, validate controls, and drive cost and cycle-time improvements while maintaining safe working practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing or process engineering in production.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and improve process performance with data.
• Experience creating production documentation and training personnel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, document, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support equipment specification, vendor coordination, installation, and ramp-up.
• Improve yield, throughput, uptime, cycle time, and material utilization with KPIs.
• Establish process parameters, control plans, sampling methods, and data records.
• Apply SPC, DOE, and process capability methods to reduce variation.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to transfer products and processes.
• Assess safety, quality, performance, cost, and schedule impacts; manage change-control docs.
• Train operators, promote safe work practices, and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare technical reports and present status to customers or internal reviews.
