Job summary

Alinabal, LLC in Milford, CT is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes. You will troubleshoot production issues, improve methods, and implement sustainable improvements across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving cost reductions while ensuring safety and compliance on a manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or related engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Experience with process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar principles.
• Experience with production tooling and fixtures preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, routings, and Bills of Material preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, document, and improve manufacturing processes, methods, and workflows.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing and production teams, incl. troubleshooting equipment, tooling, process, and production issues.
• Evaluate existing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and cost.
• Develop and improve production tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to determine appropriate processes.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, process specs, routings, BOMs, ERP records).
• Support introduction of new products and engineering changes into production.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure processes are capable and repeatable.
• Investigate issues using root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in resolving material discrepancies, nonconformances, and quality/ compliance issues.
• Analyze production data, cycle times, scrap, rework for improvements.
• Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with equipment selection, process development, implementation, validation, and readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing issues.
