Askari Defense, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to own the design, development, and continuous improvement of how we manufacture our interceptor systems on site in Atlanta.

You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, hardware, robotics software, perception, and GNC to ensure production is high-quality, repeatable, and scalable under demanding timelines. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background with 2+ years in manufacturing, strong 3D CAD

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, process, or production engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, NX).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Experience with rapid prototyping: 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Ability to write SOPs and sequence production operations.
• Foundational software understanding to leverage AI/LLM tools.
• Independent execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Own manufacturing processes from fixture to final labeling.
• Design and optimize production workflows for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Identify root causes, implement solutions, and automate workflows.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for consistent builds.
• Design facility layout and production flow for scalability.
• Design fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve speed and quality.
• Implement DFM/DFA improvements with hardware teams.
• Lead rapid prototyping using 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Develop a Manufacturing Operating System using AI/LLM and agent development.
• Provide real-time production visibility and change management.
• Collaborate across operations, supply chain, hardware, software, and GNC.
• Support NPI for new products and scale production.
• Maintain and upgrade production equipment including 3D printers.
